Numbered keys are acting like the corresponding Function keys

Original Title: Problems with shortcuts on number keys.
The regular number keys are also acting as shortcut keys, as per the 'F' keys.
I do not recall changing any settings that may have caused this to happen and so far have not been able to find a solution.
Thanks for any help.
